Save Big on Select Motorola Smartphones for Dads and Grads

It’s hard to believe 2023 is already half in the books! We’re in mid-June and gearing up for summer already. This time of year also means Father’s Day and Graduation season is upon us.

My good friends at Motorola are running a series of deals on several smartphones. Read on to find the perfect gift for the Dad or grad in your family. Or, hey, why not treat yourself to a new phone; you deserve it!

Note: All prices are shown in Canadian Dollars

Moto Razr+: Coming soon/Pre-Order for 999.99

The reincarnation of the iconic Moto Razr gets better with each subsequent release. The new Razr+ can be pre-ordered from Motorola starting June 15, 2023, for $999.99. The classic clamshell flip packs a 6.9″ pOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+ & DCI-P3 (if you’re wondering what all that means, you’re not alone, just know that all those letters and numbers equal a really stunning, vibrant display).

When closed, you can immerse yourself in the Razr’s 3.6″ external display, which gives full access to the phone’s features and allows users to shoot hands-free selfies and preview images from both sides.

Motorola Edge Gen 3 (2022) – $499.99 (Save $400)

The Razr notwithstanding, Motorola’s Edge series of phones are the company’s current flagship-level devices. They won’t compete with the likes of Samsung’s S-series, but they pack a lot of punch for the price. The Gen 3 Edge features a MediaTek Dimensity 1050 CPU, 256GB storage, 8GB RAM, a 5000 mAh battery, and a 6.6″ FHD OLED display.

The Edge also sports a 50MP rear camera and a 13 MP wide-angle camera to capture shots in nearly any situation. As is always the case, Motorola’s camera app comes jam-packed with useful features to enhance the user experience.

Moto G Power 5G (2023) – $379.99 (Save $20)

The G Power series of phones have always been some of my favorites. This is not because the device features top-shelf level hardware internally or externally. These devices always call to me because the phone’s mid-tier specs paired with a 5000 mAh battery mean your last 2-4 days on a single charge, depending on your use.
If you’re looking for a capable phone that gets charged as often as your FitBit, this is the device you’re after.

Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) – $349.99 (Save $150)

The Moto G Stylus has always been compared to the Samsung Galaxy Note/S22/S23 Ultra, and for good reason. They are phones, and they have a stylus. However, for many, myself included, the S23 Ultra is well beyond what I can comfortably spend on a smartphone. Do I want it; yes! Can I afford it; no!

The Stylus adds a new level of UX to a phone that isn’t found with other devices. It may be taking notes while on the go, editing a photo or video, or simply doodling to pass the time. If any of those situations are ones you find yourself doing or could see yourself doing, you should consider a Moto G Stylus.

Moto G 5G (2022) – $249.99 (Save $150)

The Moto G is the phone that started the mid-range revolution. Before the G, smartphones were either cheap and completely horrible to use or incredibly expensive and offered excellent user experiences. There was no middle ground. For years, however, Motorola has continued to balance features, usability, and a cost-friendly price tag.

For what it is worth, I think most are better suited with a G Power or G Stylus, given the minor price gap between these three, but if cost is your primary concern or you’re buying for that grad, that is too hard on their phone, and you don’t want to invest in a more expensive device, give the Moto G some consideration.

I hope you found this roundup of Motorola’s latest smartphone deals helpful! I’ve always been a big Motorola fan and have enjoyed many of their phones over the years. If you’re picking this up for the Dad or grad in your family or just for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!
