Meet the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ & Where To Buy In Canada

The day has finally come.

Samsung has finally taken the wraps off their next flagship devices. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

Samsung delayed the launch of their 2017 flagships because they were still cleaning up the dumpster fire that was the Note 7 🔥🔥. So instead of new Galaxy’s at MWC we were blessed with a tablet, the Tab S3 Pro.

Egar to move past all of that, we knew Samsung was going to bring it this year, and by all accounts, it appears they have done just that.

The North American versions of the S8/S8+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB RAM a 12MP rear-facing camera and a 8MP front-facing camera.

Both cameras are sure to eat the lunch of all other phones launched in the last 6 months.

Check out the breakdown of the full spec sheet below.

In Canada, the S8 and S8+ will be available on April 21st in Midnight Black and Orchid Grey. Two other colours, Arctic Silver and Maple Gold will be available elsewhere.

I find it funny Canada will not see Arctic or Maple. Seriously?

Canadian carriers that have announced the release of the S8 and S8+ are Rogers, Bell, Bell MTS, Virgin, Fido, Koodo, SaskTel, Tbaytel, Freedom Mobile and Videotron.

Carrier contract pricing looks to be $249.99 for the S8 and $319.99 for the S8+, both on 2-year terms.

You will be able to purchase the S8 and S8+ unlocked as well for $1,035 and $1,115 respectively.

What do you think? Were you impressed by what Samsung showed off today? Or would you rather sit on your wallet and wait for the Pixel 2 later this year?
